Our Holistic Approach to Health

Daisy Wu is a highly trained acupuncturist with a profound background in Chinese Medicine. She employs a meticulous and gentle approach, beginning with a comprehensive consultation to understand your health history and current concerns.

Daisy identifies the specific meridians and acupuncture points that correspond to the affected organs and systems. She then choses the best treatment method for you. For acupuncture, using fine, sterile needles, Daisy stimulates the meridian points to enhance the flow of Qi (energy) and blood, promoting natural healing and balance within the body. By addressing the root causes of your ailments, Daisy helps you achieve lasting relief and improved health, ensuring each session is both therapeutic and relaxing.

Explore Our Services

In addition to acupuncture, Daisy Acupuncture offers a range of complementary therapies to enhance your healing journey. Our services include Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, scraping (gua sha), and hand-patch therapy. These therapies work synergistically with acupuncture to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness.

Our Chinese herbal medicine service provides personalised herbal formulas tailored to your specific health needs, leveraging the ancient knowledge of Chinese herbs to support your overall well-being.

Cupping involves placing suction cups on the skin to improve blood flow and relieve muscle tension.
Scraping, or gua sha, is a technique that uses smooth-edged tools to gently scrape the skin, promoting circulation and reducing inflammation.

Hand Patch Therapy is a traditional Chinese medicine technique. It focuses on stimulating hand meridian points to enhance Qi flow and uses herbal patches for relaxation and tension relief.

Hello. I went to Daisy Wu for help with a shoulder rotator cuff problem which Physiotherapy did not appear to be helping. My experience can only be described as excellent for from the first consultation there was improvement which continued on treatment by treatment until I could again swing a golf club and return to playing golf. I am impressed with what Daisy was able to achieve. Paul

Daisy has a wonderful caring nature and "bedside - manner" as a practioner. She shows genuine concern and interest in her patients and their wellbeing. I have been seeing her for an injury which she treated with acupuncture. Absolutely wonderful and great results. Thank you Daisy.

I have been seeing Daisy for several years now and no doubt she’s one of the kindest and most competent acupuncturists I have met. I don’t tolerate pain well but Daisy was very gentle and kept checking on me throughout the treatment. Daisy always provided useful advice to improve my diet and overall wellbeing. I highly recommend Daisy!

FAQs

During your first visit, you will undergo a thorough consultation where Daisy will review your medical history and discuss your current health concerns. This helps in creating a tailored treatment plan. The initial exam lasts about half an hour, usually followed by your first acupuncture session.

Please wear shorts or loose clothing to ensure that the areas below your elbows and knees, as well as your abdomen, are accessible. Before your acupuncture session, avoid strenuous activities, excessive smoking, alcohol consumption, and heavy meals. It is advisable to eat a light meal before your treatment.

Acupuncture is generally painless because the needles used are about the thickness of a strand of hair. You may feel a brief sensation when the needle is being inserted, but typically there is no pain once it is in place. If you experience any discomfort, please inform Daisy, who will adjust the needles accordingly.

You’d be surprised by how common this is, but don’t worry! Diasy offers a wide range of non-needling treatments including Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, scraping (gua sha), and hand-patch therapy. She will assess your specific health needs to find the best solution for you, taking into account any concerns you might have. Please just tell Daisy at the start of the session.

Yes, we use single-use, sterile needles for every treatment. All needles are properly disposed of after each session to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

The number of sessions needed will be determined during your initial consultation and reassessed after each treatment. Your practitioner will create a personalised treatment plan for you, offering an estimate of how many sessions you may require based on your specific condition.
